Vanity Card #7

I love watching bloopers.

I love movies. I watch them over and over until I know every single line. I know those characters. I know which ones would be good friends, which ones I would trust to save my life or to sweep me off my feet. I know what happens after the movie ends. I feel what they feel.

And then, while watching it the forty-seventh time, those same lines get old. So you watch the bloopers. The actors who brought those characters to life – they are human, they made mistakes. They laughed and had inside jokes. They loved that character as much as I did because it is part of them. And now I am on the inside as I laugh at their inside jokes.

Everyone loves to laugh. But more importantly, everyone needs to belong.
